Arcelormittal Temirtau Cuts Production in February
The company didn’t give details for the production loss, but it is said that the main reason is due to an unspecified accident. The company is capable of producing around 300,000 tons of steel products per month.
ArcelorMittal chief financial officer announced that the demand growth in China in 2010 was likely to slow down, only increasing by 5 %, far less than the 23 % in 2009.
The company estimates that the perceived global demand in 2010 is expected to rise by 10 % due to the perceived 15 % rise in demand from both developed and emerging markets.
